Nitro-Sorb™ Farming Technology offers Ontario farmers, Nitro-Sorb™, a prescribed mixture of finishing compost and paper fibre biosolids (PFB's). PFB's are a non-hazardous organic by-product from the processing of recycled paper, provided to the CSTN network by strategic alliance partner Atlantic Packaging Products Ltd. from its paper recycling facilities in Whitby and Scarborough, Ontario. Nitro-Sorb™ is an environmentally safe and effective soil amendment that helps to improve soil conditions, increase nitrogen efficiency and supports the goal of sustainability for future farming generations. The Ministry of Environment has confirmed the safety of Nitro-Sorb™ as a result of rigourous testing for over a decade. Our growing list of participating farmers confirms improved crop outputs, soil quality and tilth, reduced costs and a reduction in the reliance upon chemical fertilizers.
CSTN experts assist customers through applicable nutrient management planning and analysis (using NMAN) and use GIS and GPS technology to ensure product tracking and adherence to the Ministry of Environment environmental safety guidelines.
